In our present world, one of the most bigest global problem, is the air pollution, and the affect of the health. Usually we talk about outdoor pollution, while there is a worse type, the indoor air pollution, cause the affect for us is much biger. That is why I create VITAL, a solution of this problem.
VITAL is a device, what using the algae technology to filter the indoor air. It dosent produce non recycling matters. It generates biomass and oil by the working of the device. It would be use to animal and human food, and plant nutriment. By the algae oil, what comes from the biomass, it can be use to make a biofuel, which more cleaner, than other biofuels in nowdays. This oil could be use to create PLA (degradable)plastic, what could be use to produce the most of the building elements of the device.
About the design, I want to create a form wich generate the feeling that it's weightless. In this way, a use a white colored fabric to make this stronger and create a soft shape. Inside, the product has got a pruple LED light, what makes the algaes cleaning capability more stronger as in the nature light.
The design won the Hungarian Design Award in 2017.
